Profit Estimator

The Profit Estimator tool allows you to calculate expected profit margins and evaluate pricing strategies before selling a product. It helps you understand costs, margins, and net profit based on different inputs.


How to Access

Go to:
Tools & Utilities → Profit Estimator


Overview

The Profit Estimator screen is divided into two main sections:

  • Input Section (left): Enter pricing and cost details
  • Results Section (right): View calculated profit and margins

Input Fields

Basic Information

  • Barcode
    Enter the product barcode to load its data (if available).
  • Settings List
    Select predefined calculation settings if configured.

Pricing Details

  • Price Purchased
    The cost at which the item was purchased.
  • Price Sold / Offer
    The selling price or discounted price.
  • Price List
    Select a predefined price list if applicable.

Expenses

  • Indirect Expenses
    Additional indirect costs related to the product.
  • Shipping Cost
    Choose predefined values (Free, fixed amounts) or enter a custom value.
  • Collection Cost
    Additional handling or collection costs.
  • Miscellaneous Expense
    Any extra cost not covered above.
  • Miscellaneous Additional Value
    Any extra value added to the product.

Actions

  • Calculate
    Calculates profit and margin based on entered values.
  • Clear
    Resets all input fields.
  • Load Calculator
    Loads the calculator manually.
  • Load Calculator with Automatic Item Price
    Attempts to auto-fill pricing based on item data.

Results Section

Displays calculated values including:

  • Gross Profit Margin
  • Platform Calculated Prices
  • Expected / Wanted Gross Profit Margin
  • Gross Profit
  • Transaction Net Profit
  • Transaction Net Profit (After VAT)

Additional Options

  • Customize Calculator
    Modify calculation behavior or settings.
  • Load Settings
    Load previously saved configurations.
  • Save Current Settings
    Save current calculation setup for reuse.
  • Apply Price Calculation
    Apply calculated values.

Notes

  • Some buttons (such as Load calculator with automatic item price) may not respond if no item data or configuration is available.
  • Ensure all required fields are filled to get accurate results.
  • Results depend on the accuracy of the entered costs and pricing.
