Accounting Settings

The Accounting Settings section allows you to configure financial-related data used across the system, including nominal codes, payment terms, payment methods, taxes, and default accounting configurations.


Nominal Codes

The Nominal Codes section is used to define and manage accounting categories for financial transactions.

Key Information

Each nominal code includes:

  • Name – The label of the account
  • Type – Category (e.g., Asset, Revenue, Expense, Sales, COGS)
  • Code – Unique identifier for accounting purposes

Available Actions

You can:

  • Add a new nominal code
  • Edit existing codes
  • Export nominal codes
  • Use mapping to align codes with system processes

Payment Terms

The Payment Terms section defines how long customers have to complete payments.

Key Information

  • Name – Payment term label
  • Terms – Number of days or conditions
  • Description – Optional explanation

Available Actions

You can:

  • Add new payment terms
  • Edit existing terms
  • Export payment terms

Payment Methods

The Payment Methods section allows you to manage available payment options.

Key Information

Each payment method includes:

  • Name – Payment provider (e.g., PayPal, Stripe)
  • Type – Method type
  • Email – Associated account email (if applicable)

Available Actions

You can:

  • Add new payment methods
  • Edit existing methods

Taxes

The Taxes section allows you to define tax rates used in transactions.

Key Information

  • Type – Tax name or category
  • Rate (%) – Percentage applied to transactions

Available Actions

You can:

  • Add new tax rates
  • Edit existing taxes
  • Export tax data

Default Settings

The Default Settings section allows you to configure default accounting values used across the system.

Available Settings

  • Default Nominal Code
  • Default Payment Term
  • Default Tax

Notes

  • These defaults are automatically applied when creating transactions.
  • Proper configuration ensures accurate financial reporting and consistency across the system.
